Engraving : The lioness with her cubs was illustrated by Madame Fournier after an illustration by Edouard Travies and published in the Dictionnaire Universel d'Histoire Naturelle of Charles d'Orbigny in Paris in 1849.

Map : Ancient map of the former German colony in East Africa, has been published in 1897.
